I've been asked to make 2 Tooth Fairy Pillows for 2 little girls. Here's how the first one is coming along............. As regards the choice of fabrics, I was just asked to make it "girlie"! The hearts were cut out for each side and personalised with the child's name. The pieces were stitched together using satin stitch, leaving an opening at the top to form 2 pockets. Now to make the pouch for the poem and the Dates Cards....... I stitched a sparkly felt fairy and a gold sequin on the front and added some ribbons to attach it to the pillow. The finished pillow for Madeleine.............. Click here to be taken straight to the product page on my website. Thank you. x

I've just finished this children's Mother's Day Card, which starts off as the first image below with the flowers and leaves safely tucked inside the personalised flower pot. When the recipient un-clips the little Ladybird peg and gently takes it to the top of the card the flowers unravel to reveal the message "I Love U". They can be replaced back in the pot by carefully placing each one behind the previous one. Here is a link to a video of the card 'in action' from my facebook page: Mothers Day Card in action. This card is now available on my Etsy shop along with a more 'grown-up' Mother's Day card too.
Both are £5 plus p&p Click here to be taken straight to my Etsy shop. 11/2/2015 0 Comments Special Family Tree piece....I was asked to do a Personalised 'Family Tree' by my brother for a very special new family that he knows. They are having a celebration on Saturday and he wanted to give them a gift that would be very personal to them. The party is to celebrate the finalised adoption of their new son, Drew and them becoming a family. I was told the parents like food and drink, so a table and chairs seemed appropriate. But the picture also needed something personal to Drew. He likes his cars and his Lego. (Wasn't quite sure how to include Lego, so I opted for the cars!) The finished picture below, ready to be safely packaged up, posted and given to its new owners.
It's lovely to play a part in a special celebration of a new family. The customer decided against the sheep in the end as her collie isn't a working dog, but prefers squirrels!! So after a few other little tweeks, this was the final choice below. Time to draw it out on the proper paper ready for cutting. I really don't mind tweeking and re-tweeking, if it's such a personal item like this it has to be right for the customer. The cutting begins.........
Ready to mount tomorrow.......... (I think I might do the one with the sheep too at some point- I quite like sheep!!!) Making a start..... The draft.......... Draw out a couple of designs first. I cut them out, so I can play around with the pieces to see what works best. On the final piece they'll be on grass, not just floating in mid air!!
I've sent these piccies to the customer to see if she's happy with any of them and which, if any she prefers. Fingers crossed I can then proceed to the actual cut.......... 3/2/2015 0 Comments New Paper cut.......3/2/2015 0 Comments Cat cushion ready to go.......Cat silhouette cushion finished and ready to post off.
